Brokenness

Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.” Luke 7:47

No one can say it like scripture can, but I would definitely jump at the chance to put together a teaching for this particular passage; though that is not what my goal is for this post.

The lessons I have learned the last two years of my life are too numerous to count; even though most of them revolve around a common circumstance.  It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord can use just ONE incident to produce multiple outcomes for His glory.  What is even more amazing is that usually that ONE incident occurred because of sin and yet He still graciously intercedes.

The Man Who Climbed a Mountain

There once was a man who decided to climb a mountain.
A mountain full of heights and peaks, and glorious views.
The benefits were great and many chose to climb.
But you’d have to give up your life and never look behind.

So this man took the step and with others he began to climb

He is showing me how to love, changing me completely around,
I once was lost but now I am found.

The Bible

Who or what is influencing you the most in this world? Is it a novel? Is it a TV Show?  Is it a person speaking false truth in your life; a wolf in sheep’s clothing?  Or is it the Word of God?

“In short, were you to ask me to recommend the most valuable book in the world, I should fix on the Bible as the most instructive, both to the wise and ignorant. Were you to ask me for one, affording the most rational and pleasing entertainment to the inquiring mind, I should repeat, it is the Bible: and should you renew the inquiry, for the best philosophy, or the most interesting history, I should still urge you to look into your Bible. I would make it, in short, the Alpha and Omega of knowledge…” -Elias Boudinot (1801)
